Honey for Oral Wellness

Many of us are frightened of the thought of going to a dentist.  For years, I would not go to a dentist because I was afraid of a needle plunging into my gums.  I also sweated when the dentist was working on my teeth hearing the whirring of the drill. All I could think of was the pain that would follow once the Novocain wore off.  Now I can relax because I can control the pain associated with oral wellness.  So can you for cheaply and effectively.

Buy a bottle of honey, preferably local honey from a store that has a local supplier.  The reason for that is their honey will probably be cold processed unlike you would get in a supermarket.  Commercial honey processors heat the honey to a temperature that may diminish it effectiveness.  Commercial processors also add water or sugar which also dilutes its effectiveness.  However, if chain store honey is all that is available to you, make sure you purchase a known brand of honey.

Put the honey directly on you tooth, teeth or gums after surgery and the pain will be substantially reduced or stopped totally.  In fact, honey is also good for preventing acute problems if you add the use of honey in your oral care on a regular basis.

Honey will hinder the growth of infection, gingivitis, bad breath from oral infections, reduces inflammation and pain and increases the rate of healing after trauma such as surgery.

See testimonial on ReneDerme.com from an Oral Surgeon and his patient as an example of the power of honey on oral surgery.

For continuous use of honey in an oral wellness program, it will be much more beneficial to use darker local honey from stores specializing in Natural or Organic products.  It will be worth it especially in this period of our changing Insurance and heath care regulations.
